GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The AD7680 is a 16-bit, fast, low power, successive approximation ADC. The part operates from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V power supply and features throughput rates up to 100 kSPS. The part contains a low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies in excess of 7 MHz.



FEATURES

Fast throughput rate: 100 kSPS

Specified for VDDof 2.5 V to 5.5 V

Low power

   3 mW typ at 100 kSPS with 2.5 V supply

   3.9 mW typ at 100 kSPS with 3 V supply

   16.7 mW typ at 100 kSPS with 5 V supply

Wide input bandwidth

   86 dB SNR at 10 kHz input frequency

Flexible power/serial clock speed management

No pipeline delays

High speed serial interface

   SPI®/QSPI™/µWire/DSP compatible

Standby mode: 0.5 µA max

6-Lead SOT-23 and 8-Lead MSOP packages
