Description
The 980-Type Pump Laser Module is a precision, high-performance, ultrahigh-reliability lightwave component that provides high output power light, in the 980 nm range. The 980-Type Pump Laser Module is comprised of a single-mode laser diode, PIN backfacet monitor, microlensed single-mode fiber, and a Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) for improved stability, all encased in a specially designed 14-pin, oxygen free, butterfly package.

    — Laser-welded packaging technology used to attain ultrastable long-term operation
    — 29-year life
■ Planar InGaAs PIN photodiode monitor for laser back-facet output
■ Wide range of stable CW optical output power
■ Individually certified for ultrahigh reliability
■ InGaAs ridge waveguide 980 nm single-mode laser diode
■ Standard low-profile, laser-welded, metal, hermetic, 14-pin butterfly package
■ Single-mode fiber with Bragg Grating (FBG) for stable operation
■ Stable single spatial mode kink-free operation over a wide range of temperatures and currents

Über Agere Systems


Agere Systems was a semiconductor company that specialized in providing integrated circuits (ICs) for telecommunications and storage applications. The company was founded in 2000 as a spin-off from Lucent Technologies, and was headquartered in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA.

Agere Systems' product portfolio included ICs for wireless communication, networking, and storage applications. These products were used in a wide range of devices, including mobile phones, routers, switches, and data storage devices.

Agere Systems was known for its innovation and expertise in advanced semiconductor technologies, such as copper-based interconnects and silicon germanium (SiGe) technology. The company also had a strong focus on research and development, and held numerous patents in semiconductor design and manufacturing.

In 2005, Agere Systems was acquired by LSI Corporation, which later became part of Avago Technologies. Today, the technology and products developed by Agere Systems continue to be used in a variety of telecommunications and storage applications.
