29 / 44 page  ams Datasheet Page 29 [v1-07] 2016-Sep-09 Document Feedback AS5601 − Register Description Figure 28: Magnetic Field Threshold Over Time Step Response and Filter Settings The AS5601 has a digital post-processing programmable filter which can be set in fast or slow modes. The fast filter mode can be enabled by setting a fast filter threshold in the FTH bits of the CONF register. If the fast filter is OFF, the step output response is controlled by the slow linear filter as shown in Figure 30. The step response of the slow filter is programmable with the SF bits in the CONF register. Figure 29 shows the tradeoff between delay and noise for the different SF bit settings.
