Bit Descriptions – Serial Number String Length Register Bit Field Name Access Reset Description 7:6 RSVD RO Reserved. Read only, returns 0 when read. 5:0 serNumStringLen RO/RW Serial number string length. The string length in bytes for the serial number string. The default value is 18h indicating that a 24-byte serial number string is supported. The maximum string length is 32 bytes. When customSernum is 1, this field may be overwritten by the contents of an attached EEPROM or by an SMBus host.
