PIN FUNCTIONS
AVDD (Pin 1): 5V Analog Power Supply. Bypass to AGND1
and solid analog ground plane with 10
µF ceramic (or 10µF
tantalum in parallel with 0.1
µF ceramic).
AGND1 (Pin 2): Analog Ground. Tie to solid analog ground
plane. The analog ground plane should be solid and have
no cuts near the LTC1402.
AIN+ (Pin 3): Positive Analog Signal Input. 0V to 4.096V in
unipolar mode and
±2.048V in bipolar mode when AIN– is
grounded. Both of these ranges operate fully differentially
with respect to AIN–. (Note 3)
AIN– (Pin4):NegativeAnalogSignalInput.Canbegrounded
or driven differentially with AIN+. Identical to AIN+, except
that it inverts the input signal. (Note 3)
VREF (Pin 5): 4.096V Reference Voltage Output. Bypass to
AGND1 and solid analog ground plane with 10
µF ceramic
(or 10
µF tantalum in parallel with 0.1µF ceramic).
AGND2 (Pin 6): Analog Ground Return for the Reference
and Internal CDAC. AGND2 could be overdriven externally
above ground. Tie to solid analog ground plane.
