Temperature Protection Mode:
If temperature is too high, battery charging
is regarded as complete. If temperature is
too low, the
t/t detection function is
disabled, just as if the thermistor did not exist.
For SEL3 < ((VCC/2) -0.4V), the suggested divider
resistances of RA and RB for the corresponding
number of battery cells are shown below:
Battery Voltage Measurement
The SS6782G measures the battery voltage
through ABV and BBV pins, which are connected
to the battery positive terminals through a resistor-
divider network, as shown in Fig. 14. The ac-
ceptable limit of divided battery voltage is de-
termined by the input voltage of SEL3 pin.

Battery Temperature Measurement
For SEL3 > ((VCC/2) + 0.4V), the suggested
di
vider resistances of RA and RB for the corre-
sponding number of battery cells are as below:
The SS6782G employs a negative temperature
coefficient (NTC) thermistor to measure the bat-
tery
s temperature. The thermistor is inherently
nonlinear with respect to temperature. To re-
duce the effect of nonlinearity, a resistor-divider
network in parallel with the thermistor is rec-
ommended. A typical application circuit is
shown in Fig. 15.
