SMPS characteristics for external usage are given in Table 27. The SMPS step-down converter requires external components that are specified in Figure 16 and Table 26. Figure 16. When bypassing the voltage regulator, the two 2.2 µF VCAP capacitors are not required and should be replaced by two 100 nF decoupling capacitors.
