Power consumption for STMPExxM31 can be reduced significantly with the proper use of the available device Sleep mode. The device can be programmed into Sleep mode upon detecting of the finger lift. During the Sleep mode, upon detecting a touch, STMPExxM31 goes from Sleep to Active mode after 15 ms. As such, for an example touch profiles in Figure 20 below, the Average current consumption over the 6 seconds is: = [(0.185+0.285+0.285) * 400 uA + ( 5.245 * 50 uA)]/6 = 94 uA. Figure 20.
