3 Description
The SimpleLink™ CC1404P is a high-performance Sub-1GHz wireless transceiver supporting SUN FSK and
SUN O-QPSK based on IEEE 802.15.4 as well as a wide variety of proprietary physical layers. The flexible
software-defined radio architecture enables easy integration into legacy wireless systems. CC1404P is targeting
Wi-SUN, 6LoWPAN and proprietary systems. The highlighted features of this device include:
• Flexible Sub-1GHz radio supporting wide RF frequency coverage
• Supports a variety of protocol stacks in the SimpleLink™ software development kit (SDK), including Wi-
SUN®, SimpleLink™ 15.4-stack, and proprietary solutions
• Maximum transmit power of +22dBm for constant envelope signals like FSK and O-QPSK.
• Low power solution enabling battery-operated devices
• Dedicated software-defined radio controller providing flexible low-power RF transceiver capability to support
multiple physical layers and RF standards
• Flexible GPIO manager enabling support for control of external Front-End Modules (FEMs)
TI offers drivers within the SimpleLink™ SDK plugin, including a driver for firmware updates. This enables
