Note that the component values for 868
and 915 MHz can be the same. However,
it is important that the layout is optimised
for the selected VCO inductor in order to
centre the tuning range around the
operating
frequency
to
account
for
inductor tolerance. The VCO inductor must
be placed very close and symmetrical with
respect to the pins (L1 and L2).
Chipcon provides reference layouts that
should be followed very closely in order to
achieve
the
best
performance.
The
reference design can be downloaded from
the Chipcon website.
