The power-down controller (PDC) of the C64x+ Megamodule can be used to power down L1P, the cache control hardware, the CPU, and the entire C64x+ Megamodule. These power-down features can be used to design systems for lower overall system power requirements. Note that the device does not support power-down modes for the L2 memory at this time. 5.6 Megamodule Resets Table 5-6 shows the reset types supported on the device and if the resetting affects the Megamodule globally or just locally. The MM_REVID register is shown in Figure 5-5 and described in Table 5-7. The C64x+ Megamodule revision is dependant on the silicon revision being used. Figure 5-5.
